Why Shuttle Bus Over Sprinter or Coach
image

The Right Size for 15-24 Passengers

Sprinter Van caps at 14 passengers. Executive Coach starts at 34. The Shuttle Bus owns the 15-24 range — exactly what most schools, weddings, and corporate teams need.

DOT-compliant with insurance certificates already on file with King County school districts. Government bookings, healthcare transport, and religious group travel all supported.

Shorter wheelbase than Motor Coach — fits into Seattle hotel porte-cocheres, neighborhood wedding venues, and downtown event drop-offs without staging logistics.

$31/passenger at full capacity vs. $25/passenger for the Sprinter Van — but you get 24 seats instead of 14. For groups over 14, the Shuttle Bus is the cost-effective answer.

Great customer service, communication and made accommodations for last-minute arrangements. Best price I found compared to other shuttle services and Uber.

JD and his crew of drivers were wonderful. We ended up using them for more than just the shuttle to the port. They were extremely accommodating and I know they will be for you too. Highly recommend.

Our driver was fantastic. Great personality, told us about the area as we headed to the cruise port. Texted me early on the day we got off the cruise and was right there. Made our trip a lot easier.

Shuttle Bus FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Shuttle Bus or Sprinter Van — which should I book?

Book the Shuttle Bus if your group exceeds 14 passengers or your event requires school documentation, government compliance paperwork, or a CDL-licensed driver — our Shuttle Bus seats up to 24 passengers and starts at $750, with hourly rates at $275/hr (4-hour minimum). It's the right choice for school field trips, conference shuttles, large wedding parties, and corporate events. Choose the Sprinter Van if your group is 14 or fewer and you want leather captain's chairs and a premium ride experience — starting at $350 with hourly rates at $200/hr. When headcount exceeds 14, the Shuttle Bus is the only vehicle in our fleet that fits.

How many passengers does the Shuttle Bus hold?

Our Shuttle Bus holds up to 24 passengers — making it Seattle Shuttle Fleet's largest single-vehicle option and the go-to choice for groups that have outgrown a Sprinter Van. All 24 seats are forward-facing with safety belts. For events exceeding 24 passengers, we can coordinate multiple Shuttle Buses or pair a Shuttle Bus with a Sprinter Van or Passenger Van for overflow capacity. Luggage space is available in the undercarriage compartment for airport transfers and multi-day trips. Note the headcount at booking and we'll configure the vehicle accordingly.

Are CDL-licensed drivers included with the Shuttle Bus?

Yes. Every Shuttle Bus booking includes a fully licensed Commercial Driver's License (CDL) chauffeur — included in your fare, no extra charge. Washington State law requires CDL certification for vehicles carrying more than 15 passengers, and all Seattle Shuttle Fleet Shuttle Bus drivers meet or exceed that requirement. Our drivers are also background-checked, professionally trained, and experienced with school, government, and corporate transport protocols. For school and government bookings specifically, we maintain driver qualification records on file and can provide documentation upon request.

How much does it cost to rent the Shuttle Bus in Seattle?

Shuttle Bus rental from Seattle Shuttle Fleet starts at a $750 flat-rate minimum for airport transfers and point-to-point trips. For hourly bookings — including event shuttles, conference loops, and multi-stop itineraries — the rate is $275 per hour with a 4-hour minimum. All rates are all-inclusive: CDL driver, fuel, tolls, and taxes are never added on top. For a group of 24, the per-person cost starts at just over $31, making it the most cost-effective large-group ground transport option in the Greater Seattle area. Request a custom quote at SeattleShuttle.com for your specific route and schedule.

Do you provide insurance certificates for school bookings?

Yes. Seattle Shuttle Fleet provides certificates of insurance, driver qualification documentation, and vehicle inspection records for school district and government-sponsored bookings — all standard requirements for K-12 field trips and institutional transport contracts in Washington State. We maintain these documents on file and can issue them within one business day of your booking request. Our Shuttle Bus and its CDL-licensed drivers meet all Washington State requirements for student passenger transport. Contact us directly at SeattleShuttle.com to initiate a school booking and request your compliance paperwork package.

Is the Shuttle Bus ADA-accessible?

Please contact us directly at SeattleShuttle.com to discuss ADA accommodation needs for your group before booking. We are committed to making every trip accessible and will work with you to confirm the right vehicle configuration, boarding assistance, and any mobility equipment requirements. For groups with wheelchair users or passengers requiring specific accessibility features, we recommend reaching out at least 72 hours in advance so we can ensure the most appropriate vehicle and support are arranged for your pickup.

Can I book multiple Shuttle Buses for a large event?

Yes. Seattle Shuttle Fleet coordinates multi-vehicle fleets for large conferences, corporate retreats, stadium events, and wedding receptions throughout the Greater Seattle area. We can deploy multiple Shuttle Buses running staggered pickup loops, or combine Shuttle Buses with Sprinter Vans and Passenger Vans to match your exact headcount. Our event coordinators build custom transport plans with scheduled routes, designated pickup zones, and driver communication protocols. Multi-vehicle bookings qualify for volume pricing. Contact our events team at SeattleShuttle.com at least 2–3 weeks before your event for best availability and coordinated scheduling.

How early should I book the Shuttle Bus?

We recommend booking the Shuttle Bus at least 1–2 weeks in advance for standard group transfers and 3–4 weeks ahead for weddings, school field trips, conferences, and multi-bus events. The Shuttle Bus is our highest-capacity vehicle and requires CDL driver scheduling and, for institutional bookings, advance documentation processing. During Seattle's peak seasons — summer cruise and wedding season (May–September) and major convention periods — availability books out even faster. Same-day or next-day bookings are not available for the Shuttle Bus. Secure your date early at SeattleShuttle.com or call 206-SHUTTLE.
